Implantation Effects

ISO 10993-6 implantation evaluates local tissue response in muscle, subcutaneous tissue, or bone at defined sacrifice points. Duration and site are chosen per method; reporting can be staged or held to a single study.

Implantation is specimen-basedISO 10993-6 is sized by implantation site and timepoint rather than by extract volume, so it does not pool with the extraction-based tests. Each period needs its own specimen set with a control article implanted alongside.
