When this applies
Whenever you want devices, retained samples, fixtures or shipping containers back after a study — for retention under your quality system, for re-use of fixtures and containers, or because the samples are valuable prototypes. Laboratories otherwise dispose of test articles at study close.
When to commission it
At the time of ordering, so the laboratory retains rather than discards the material at study close. A return requested after disposal cannot be fulfilled.
What you receive
Your samples and containers, decontaminated where the study requires it, packed and documented for return. Shipping is completed on your carrier account or quoted separately; this item covers the preparation and handling only.
What it does not cover
Shipping fees, which are billed to your account or quoted separately, and any test article that was consumed, destroyed or rendered unreturnable by the study itself. Not applicable unless a return is requested.
Method
Preparation and handling of your samples and containers for return after testing; shipping is on your carrier account or quoted separately. On request, the laboratory retains the test articles and containers at study close, performs any decontamination the study type requires, packs them for transport and releases them to the carrier on your account or under a separate shipping quotation.
Who does the work
Handled by the testing laboratory and coordinated by Groenakker. This is an optional service and will be applied automatically only when a sample return is requested.
Usually ordered alongside
Any test in the catalogue. It is most often requested with gas pathway studies, where decontamination for return is already included in the test price, and with implantation and chemistry studies on valuable prototype devices.
